Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs of the heart
After much discussion, prayer and laborious research, we have chosen the Cantus Christi 2020 as our church hymnal. The primary reason for this was due to the theologically robust and faithful music selection.
The music we sing is our response to God in worship. We believe church hymns ought to be saturated with the Word of God. What we sing should teach and correct us, encourage our hearts and inform us of the God we worship. We are instructed to sing and our songs should fill our hearts with thankfulness and delight in our great God!
An added benefit was it’s availability in the Sing Your Part app that we have formerly opted to utilize as we seek to be faithful to restore hymn and psalm singing to Christ’s Church.
